Marco Longo

Marco Longo was born in Pisa, Italy and started classical studies in piano at an early age.

He graduated from the G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan in 2006 under the supervision of Edda Ponti. From 2002-2010 he studied composition with Giuliano Zosi, Giuseppe Colardo and Mario Garuti.

Marco attended 22 national and international classical music contests from 1995 to 2006      winning 11 first, 5 second and 6 third prizes. Meanwhile he studied jazz piano and played in many musical bands of various genres.

In April 2010 Marco auditions in Dublin for Berklee College of Music and obtains a $14,000 scholarship. In the same month, MLT, a jazz trio he is part of, records a self-produced album called "Digital Rain" at Effettonote Studios in Milan.  After  recording his album, he starts a collaboration with the Effettonote Studios staff, working  as a session man, arranger, orchestrator and transcriber for jingles, soundtracks and other artists.

In 2011 Marco moved to Boston where he is currently studying Film Scoring and Electronic Production & Design at the esteemed Berklee College of Music.
